ABOUT
Where you wish you were, where the heart leads and the strength to follow..
This site is dedicated to the composition and voice work of Erin Lang. If you are looking for her bands, Feral & Stray or Foundling click here.
Erin is a Canadian born musician and composer from Montreal. She has worked on a variety of films, sound installations and commercials, composing original music, some of which can be sampled here. She has also collaborated with dancers, poets and visual artists to create original pieces and performance art.
Erin has a deep love and reverence for dusty tremolo guitars, analogue synth sounds, 1950's ghostly choir voices, intimate lullabies and love songs, expansive soundscapes, 1930's string orchestras, Fender Rhodes and world percussion. She also has a love of vintage and boutique guitar pedals and with an ever growing collection of instruments, she is constantly playing with the line between the unexpected and nostalgic.
Erin works in close collaboration with BAM music in Paris and Montreal and works out of several studios in Europe.
She often works with a close group of very talented instrumentalists, programmers and engineers, to fill out anything a particular piece of music needs. Among those are Kristina Koropecki, a cellist based in Berlin, with a classical background and a very strong pop sensibility.
David Georgos, also a member of the group Foundling, makes incredible soundscapes, and organic ambient beats.
Samuel Hall, a percussionist and drummer specialising in free-jazz and improvised music is a fixture in Berlin’s Echtzeitmusik scene.
